We are excited to introduce ourselves as the new team of Weed Man Peterborough. We are bringing our Kawartha Lakes team together with Peterborough as one and will now be known as Weed Man Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes.
Our team lives and works in the communities that we serve. Offering high-quality services & products along with professional lawn care advice are the main value-add differences we offer to our customers and neighbours. In support of our community, we hire locally, unlike some other lawn care providers, and we are proud to be a “Key Donor” to A Place Called Home, an important local shelter.
2023 will be Dan's 7th season as the owner of Weed Man, servicing Kawartha Lakes and the Beaverton area. This will be his first year serving the Peterborough area.
Dan and Maureen had a dream to make this a family business and are pleased that their son Scott is returning for his 5th year as the Manager of Operations, along with their daughter Kellyanne, returning for her 3rd season as our Office Manager, and their daughter Shannon returning for her 2nd season as an Office Manager. Maureen and her sister Kathleen are also back to support our office and manage administrative duties. See more about the team below.
We have two key priorities for the 2023 season:
The Weed Man Kawartha Lakes Difference:
We are really enjoying living and working across small towns and communities, like the ones we have known raising our family. It gives us the opportunity to get to know our customers on a personal level. This way we can provide you with tailored services that suit your lawn care needs and preferences.
Our franchise will be operated with integrity and honesty. We will make it our personal mission to provide an honest service, therefore you can rest assured knowing that we will never recommend services that you don’t need or will not benefit your lawn. Furthermore, if we provide any service that does not meet your expectations, we commit we will do everything we reasonably can to promptly correct it.
Weed Man Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes is committed to providing environmentally friendly services that will meet or exceed the expectations of our customers. One way we do this is by having our Lawn Technicians undergo regular training programs, We will ensure our Technicians possess a thorough understanding of lawn healthcare., and keep them abreast of the latest industry techniques and equipment, and the importance of customer satisfaction as our top priority.
More about our team:
Dan retired from IBM Canada in 2018, after 37 years. My IBM career included sales, marketing, and customer care roles, with a big focus on customer satisfaction. I will continue to bring all of my business and customer service experience to Weed Man lawn care.
Maureen started out at IBM too but has spent the better part of the last 30 years raising our family of two girls and three boys. We’ve raised our family in small towns: Port Perry (10 years), Quispamsis, New Brunswick (7 years), North Whitby (11 years), and in 2016 moved to a bungalow south of Lindsay.
Scott is returning for his fifth season as Manager of Operations in 2023. Scott has a 4-year honours business degree from UOIT, and numerous years of customer service and IT sales experience prior to joining Weed Man. Scott is a licensed landscape, industrial vegetation, and structural exterminator. He finished with the highest grade in his class at Guelph University for his Turf Manager certificate.
Kellyanne returns for her 3rd season as office manager. She has a Diploma as a certified dental assistant from Durham college and worked in dentistry for over 12 years. She is an expert in customer care and will continue to bring that to her role as Office Manager. Kellyanne is a licensed landscape exterminator which will enable her to serve our customers with increased lawn expertise.
Shannon is returning for her 2nd season as an office manager. She has a business background and holds a Bachelor of Management degree from Athabasca University. She worked in banking for 13+ years in various roles, including customer service, leadership, and regulatory compliance. Her energy and customer service experience will be a great addition to our team.
Kathleen returns for her 5th season as our lead project manager. She has a BA in economics and a BA in labour studies from McMaster University, along with her 33 years at IBM where she worked in both HR and as a product manager. Her skills and experience are a huge asset to our team.
Thank you, from our family and team, for trusting Weed Man Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes with your lawn care needs!
